½cupchicken stock(use vegetable broth for vegan and vegetarian)
1tablespoonunsalted butter(Use a butter swap to make this recipe Vegan-friendly!)
1scallionchopped
½teaspoonthyme5-6 sprigs of fresh thyme
½teaspoonthymedry spice
¼teaspoongarlic powder
¼teaspoonsalt
½teaspoonblack pepper
Instructions
Add the chicken stock, green beans, butter, scallions, fresh thyme, and seasonings (dry thyme, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper) in the Instant Pot.
Close the Instant Pot lid (make sure the valve is up – in the position for sealing) and pressure cook on high for 2 minutes.
When the cooking time is finished, allow a natural pressure release for at least 2 minutes.
To open the Instant Pot lid, move the valve to ‘venting’ and manually release any remaining pressure, if applicable.
When the cooking time is finished, serve these Southern green beans right away, and enjoy!
