Equipment

  • Large cast iron skillet (or large, heavy pot or pan)

Ingredients

  • 1-1 ½ pounds ground beef 80/20
  • ½ cup green bell pepper diced
  • ½ cup yellow onion diced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt Your favorite all-purpose seasoning salt (I used Famous Dave’s Steak & Burger Seasoning.)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bell pepper, onion, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, paprika, and pepper.
  • Mix gently until just combined.
  • Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
  • Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy pan over medium-high heat until very hot.
  • Place the burgers in the skillet.
  • Cook undisturbed for 3–5 minutes, until the edges begin to brown.
  • Flip once and cook an additional 3–5 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
  • Toast the buns, if desired, serve with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
